Folding and Storing Jeans

Because denim is a rather heavy fabric, folding and storing jeans differs slightly from folding and storing other types of pants. However, even the stiffest pants can be made to tuck away nicely in any drawer or closet with a little attention and effort. In addition to sharing some other shrewd folding and storage ideas, we spoke with life coach and organizing specialist Ashley Moon to show you how to fold denim in a straightforward, basic manner.

using the front of the jeans facing up, place them down and smooth them out using your hands, being careful not to bunch the pockets.Verify if the seams match by folding the jeans in half at the crotch and folding one pant leg over the other. The jeans should be shaken out and flattened with your hands. To get rid of any noticeable creases, pick up the pair of jeans by either end of the waistband and shake them out with one or two short, forceful flaps. Next, arrange the jeans so that the front is facing up, and smooth them out with your hands.Additionally, extend and flatten each pocket by reaching your hand inside of it. Jeans with gathered pockets may be bumpy.

Smooth out the pants and fold the hem up to the waistband if your dresser or cabinet has enough area.If a more compact fold is required, smooth the pants, fold the hem up to the thigh, then fold the waistband all the way down to the folded border of the pants.
