In an interview with BILD, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timo Hardun was quoted as saying: “Like Eintracht Frankfurt, our entire NLZ is multicultural and has clear values that we live by and always demand.” While there is no racism here, we still take such accusations seriously. ”

Liverpool’s full statement: “Liverpool can confirm that members of our U18 team have reported that they suffered racial abuse from opponents during the Bundesliga Cup youth tournament in Schwäbisch Hall on Friday. “The player immediately notified the referee, his teammates and our coaching staff, after which Liverpool management made the decision to abandon the match and for everyone to leave the pitch.
“In a separate incident, the same player was the victim of verbal abuse during a tournament match today. The player again warned his teammates and coaching staff and our management again made the decision to leave the field.
“We are proud of the player and his swift action and mature response in reporting the incident. “He and all his affected teammates are being supported by the Academy’s security team.
“The club calls on opponents and tournament organisers to immediately and thoroughly investigate this incident.”
